Every horse owner has different needs. Some are frequently moving their horses to and from sites for competitions. Others move horses on a weekly or monthly basis for leisure or loaning. And then some horse owners infrequently transport their horses to the vet or during moves. So it isn’t always easy to decide if you should own your own horse trailer.

If you’re a new horse owner, you may be wondering if it’s best for you to invest in owning a horse trailer and the requisite equipment. Or, if you’re a longtime horse owner, you may simply be sick of renting and borrowing used horse trailers—and worrying about whether or not you can trust their durability and construction—much less entrusting your horses’ care to the hands of strangers, in some cases. Or you may already own a horse trailer but wonder if there isn’t something that’s better-suited to your exact needs than the one you already have.

All of these concerns and considerations are important to the staff at Phoenix Coach Works. And we’re always happy to discuss your exact stipulations to see if we may be able to help you make a choice about buying a horse trailer. As experts in the industry, we may even come up with ideas and questions you haven’t even thought of yet to help you decide. Targeting your ideal specs—such as materials, weight, height, storage space, aesthetics, etc—is an important task before you invest. After all, it’s not just a matter of making a shipment—horses are more than just cargo; they’re your pets and often considered members of the family. You want to transport them with the same safety and diligence that you’d give to transporting your own kids. And we understand.

Phoenix Coach Works also customizes trailers, so when you’re ready to figure out which horse trailer to buy, you can rest assured that you’ll wind up taking home a rig that’s exact to your specifications. Eliminate the hassle of hauling your horses by consulting with the friendly staff and considering the variety of options at Phoenix Coach Works.

After 25 years in the business of building, servicing, and repairing custom trailers and RV’s, we know that regular RV maintenance is more than a good idea, it will extend the life of your trailer for years to come. It will also save you a lot of money! It is much easier to do regular maintenance on your RV or fix problems when they are still minor in nature, than it is to repair your trailer or RV after a major breakdown or malfunction.

It is important to have a partner in RV repair that you can trust, and Phoenix Coach Works is just that. We treat our customers like we would want to be treated, and our customer’s loyalty shows us just how much they appreciate it.

“Having had repairs done with Joe and the Team at Phoenix Coach Works for some twenty years now, it was only natural that I would purchase my first new 16 horse semi trailer from Phoenix Coach. I can always count on Phoenix Coach to do an excellent job and in an expedited manner…”

At Phoenix Coach Works, we put a lot of thought into creating the perfect trailer for your every need. After 25 years in the business, we have seen it all, and know the safety features you want and need to make your life easier. One of the safety features that come standard on all of our horse trailers and horse vans protects the safety of your horse’s head during the loading process, a vitally important feature.

Leading a horse into a horse trailer is not always the easiest process. Of course they are reluctant to be led into a small metal stall that inhibits them from moving around as they please (even if it is a Phoenix Coach Works quality constructed stall made of strong light weight aluminum). As the horse is being loaded chances are they can rear up at the wrong time and smack their head against the roof of the horse trailer causing cuts and injury.

That is why at Phoenix Coach Works we build our roofs to be flexible so that it will bend around the horse’s head, should they come in contact. Styrofoam insulation between the interior and exterior roofs absorbs any impact which should happen, protecting your horse and your horse trailer. This safety feature is so important that it comes standard in every horse trailer we build. We have been including this feature for so long, we often forget to mention it!

For the ultimate in safety and quality construction, call us about a custom horse trailer or van today. We are happy to help you determine the features and options that are the best fit for your needs and budget.

At Phoenix Coach Works, we understand that cost efficiency in every major purchase is important, especially in today’s economy.
