History

Phoenix Coach Works Inc. was established in 1984 in a small shop in Phoenixville, PA. The owner, Joe Skupski, comes from a background rooted in the trucking industry.  Joe started his career in the dump truck business,  while working for his uncles and then moved into the field of a mechanic for a large truck dealership. Joe then took that experience and started his own trucking business, which he ran successfully for 7 years.

In the early 80’s, Joe opened a truck repair & paint shop. It was there that he began restoring and painting many horse vans and trailers. To this day Joe and his crew at Phoenix Coach Works Inc. still do all of the modifications, restorations and painting on many vans and trailers sold by Frank DiBella . This experience with restorations and repairs enabled Joe to learn  the horse transportation business extremely well.

In 1984 Phoenix Coach Works Inc. began building their own line of vans and trailers using Joe’s experience and ingenuity  throughout those  10 years in the industry. Joe sought to produce  a product that would stand up to the rigors of commercial use. It has been more than 31 years, and 90% of their units are still on the road today.

In 1995 Phoenix Coach Works Inc. relocated to a new,  modernized facility where they remain today, manufacturing vans and semi trailers to the highest standards. Phoenix Coach Works builds and services all of the new 4,6,8 and 9 Horse vans along with our new addition to the Phoenix line, the Sprinter 2 Horse. Our newest design exhibits a Euro Style in a compact Van.

Decades of knowledge and a commitment to service is what three employees with a combined 90 plus years of experience, are still bringing with them to the company today. Phoenix Coach Works stands behind every Van and Trailer they build. When you buy a new Phoenix Trailer or Phoenix 4-6 or 8 Horse Van body from Frank Dibella you can rest assured Phoenix Coach Works Inc. will be there to give you the highest quality of service possible

They love what they do and are constantly looking for ways to do it better.
